In April 2013, Kroger R-533 in Virginia Beach, VA celebrated its grand reopening. This project featured an interior remodel including new décor: painting of sales floor walls, new signage, and aisle markers. Project scope included Produce department including new orchard bins and fresh berry cases. The Deli/Bakery departments were upgraded to include a service cheese and olive shop, sushi, hot meals to go, and beverage center. The Meat/Seafood departments were expanded. A new Floral department was installed including a new work station, display cases, and floral fixtures. The Grocery department was reset and now includes a new natural foods department along with a bulk foods section. The customer restrooms were completely updated. At the Front End, new check lanes (including self-scan) were installed.
In January 2013 Kroger R-210 in Blacksburg, VA will celebrate its grand reopening. This project features an interior remodel with façade modification including a new entrance tower and canopy installation. Interior work to the Produce, Floral, Nature’s Market, Deli, Bakery and Pharmacy departments was implemented. In addition, a new Protocol refrigeration system was installed.
Capstone recently completed a pre-remodel survey of Kroger R-347 in Rocky Mount, VA. This survey included verification of existing floor plans and refrigerated cases as well as a variety of other equipment. The survey also included photo documentation of all existing conditions. This survey allowed for Kroger facility engineering to begin fixture plan design work with an accurate representation of existing conditions.
On December 26, 2012 construction began on Kroger’s Training Center in Hampton Roads, VA. In the past employee training was conducted at individual Kroger stores. This facility will allow for employee training to occur before personnel interact with Kroger shoppers.
Upon invitation, Capstone attended a construction conference in December for Harris Teeter food stores. The conference was held in Richmond, VA. Capstone joined other architects and engineers as well as Harris Teeter project managers to collaborate on improving the construction process of Harris Teeter stores.
This large expansion remodel project includes a 13,000sf expansion, removal of existing sales floor ceiling and floor tile and a complete remodel of the existing facility. In addition, a new rooftop mechanical/refrigeration house is shown on the expansion roof area. The new Pharmacy will include a walk-up window. There will be a new décor installed for the sales floor. A new entry tower will be installed and also a new secondary entry tower will be installed.

In January 2013 Capstone will begin work on construction documents for Kroger R512 in Richmond, VA. This project will be a 200,000 sq. ft. expansion to an existing 55,000 sq. ft. store. A complete new facade will be incorporated and the project will include a Pharmacy drive-through.

Construction documents have been submitted for the permit and bids for the interior remodel and facade modification of Kroger R-210 in Blacksburg, VA.
On December 10, 2011, Sweetbay #1839 in Lehigh Acres, FL celebrated the completion of an interior remodel designed by Capstone Project Services.
In December 2011, Capstone was informed that they have been selected to complete construction documents for two upcoming Harris Teeter remodels in North Carolina.
